 SPECIALTY CLASSES

          Magical Motifs

Learn how to make a myriad of crocheted motifs as the base for a scarf, sweater, shawl or afghan. Check out some of the fabulous motifs from basic Granny Squares to more intricate hexagons or floral motifs on display. This is a class that will be offered once a month from February through August.

         Designer Wraps

Using mitered squares or log cabin (linear) knit or crochet you can create a one-of-a-kind art-to-wear wrap. You will combine your knit or crochet squares to make either an oblong or triangular wrap combining unique one ball stash yarns with complimentary yarns to pull the wrap together. This class is offered twice for availability of additional assistance.

         Architectural Scarf

The Architectural look in couture is very popular this year and this scarf is certainly a conversation piece. Using single and half double crochet stitches create perfect circles and perfect rectangles to create a unique scarf.

          Hairpin Lace Scarf

In this 2 day class you will create an easy, fun heirloom scarf that will dazzle your friends and family.  Learn an old technique with a new updated look.

          Beaded Knits

Scarves, skirts, bags, or shells!  Learn to incorporate beads into your knitting.  Two techniques can be used for adding beads. Learn how to use one or both to enhance your knitting skills and creativity.

         Drop in to Catch Up

Drop in any time for help on old projects or new or fixing up ones that didn't quite work out. Beginners welcome.  Starts on Sept. 14. 2 hour minimum. Call for teacher availability.

    Tunisian Sampler Scarf

Did you know there is more than one Tunisian stitch? Come and learn all the different types of Tunisian stitches while creating a sampler scarf.

         Lace 101

Intimidated by lace knitting, but love the look? Come learn the basics of lacework and create this easy sampler scarf.

          Valentina Follow-up

There's a lot to remember after a weekend with Valentina Devine. If you need help in completing your Valentina project, this is the class for you. Finish that lace-collared or fabric inspired cardigan with confidence.

         Hats, Hats, Hats

Learn to make a hat using different crochet stitches to build a circle and curve the hat to custom fit your head, creating either a beanie style hat or a slouch hat with brim. You may also choose to make a knitted version.

         Classic Custom Cardigans

Either knitted or crocheted, there is nothing nicer to wear than a cardigan that fits perfectly. Start a basic cardigan that you can embellish with lace or freeform motifs in the up-coming class with Valentina Devine. This class is offered twice for availabilty of additional assistance.

          Socks, Socks, and More Socks

This class will get you started if you have never knit socks before. Or if you have already done socks, try a toe-up sock or play with other construction techniques.

          Tunisian Crochet

Tunisian Crochet is easy if you know how to make crochet chains. Create a fabulous afghan/throw, pillow or baby blanket using a Q or S hook for a quick project! This is a great way to use up your yarn stash.

         Artistic Scarf

In this 2 day class you will be combining knitting and crochet to learn to make a one-of-a-kind scarf. You will learn a simple way to do intarsia then add crochet and knit on either side of your center focal point. For interest you will learn three techniques for a unique fringe.

    Felted Purse

In the first session of this class you will make the purse and in the second session you will learn new felting techniques for the flowers, leaves and handles.

           Classic Top Down Cardigan

During this 6 week class you will learn to custom fit a top-down cardigan using different stitches (rib, yarn over, knit and purl). To give your cardigan that special touch, finish it with a simple crochet edge.

         Upgrade a Top Down Cardigan

Take a basic top-down pattern and learn to add cables and introduce inserts with different stitches to create a classy, glamorous look designed just for you.  This is a 6 week class.
